Together We Thrive

I believe in falling down seven times and standing up eight.
Hustling my hardest always,
diving on the floor for that loose ball, with
drops of sweat rolling down my face.
Listening to “be patient”, “communicate”, and “smile”,
as those words can change perception of the game.

I believe in looking people in the eye when they speak, being respectful.
Motivating the teammate who just missed a shot, to keep shooting.
Receiving a cheap call and keeping my cool, as people observe attitude.

Overcoming adversity, with the mindset of “She’s taller than me, bigger than me, I’ll take her”.
Knowing my limits, pushing through pain,
fighting battles with the utmost confidence,
and pumping out that final rep as I believe I can do it.

I believe in remaining strong when others are weak, offering a hand to help a girl up.
Standing up for someone, and encouraging positivity.
Cheering on each teammate, illuminating confidence and excitement in their soul.
Providing hope, appreciating faith, and believing in everyone to be there for each other.
